Thanksgiving Prep 07Nov12
I cannot believe that Halloween is officially over and we are now into the month of November. I feel like every time I blink we are already past the holiday I was looking forward to, already into another month with a new holiday just around the corner. Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here. Since the days are moving so quickly, now is definitely the time to start thinking about and preparing for Thanksgiving.
Now, I know those of you who are long-time readers know Thanksgiving is my mom’s favorite holiday. She loves having everyone at the house all day eating, drinking, and then making a big Thanksgiving dinner for everyone. It seems so easy when such an expert, like my mom, gets Thanksgiving dinner together with such ease every year, and always enjoys doing it. But having a large group of people over for Thanksgiving dinner is no small feat. There are so many details to consider when feeding and entertaining family and friends for a full day and night. So, aside from the turkey, what is the most important detail of having such a large party? Making sure everyone has a place to sit! I am a big believer in RSVP, mostly because you need to make sure you have enough folding chairs for everyone to be able to sit at the table and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.
We will definitely be talking about Thanksgiving, apples, pumpkins, and all of that fun fall stuff throughout this month because there is so much to discuss. There is so much to talk about when it comes to Thanksgiving and celebrating holidays with family and friends. There are many recipes to bake, different kitchen utensils to use, and servers. We’ll get to it all this month. Just do not forget to think about pumpkins. We only get to work with them once a year.
